10th annual Western Regional Trapping and Outdoor Expo

A new event coming to the Grant County Fairgrounds, as John Day has been chosen to host the 10th annual Western Regional Trapping and Outdoor Expo. Vendors will sell such goods as trapping supplies, sporting goods, artwork and home decor. Experienced trappers will offer demonstrations on furbearing, fur preparation, nuisance control and predator calling. There also will be activities for families and children, trap-setting contests for all ages, and a skillet toss for women. Other activities include a live auction, a silent auction Friday and Saturday by Fur Bearers Unlimited and an antler fund-raising drive. Food will be available, as well as camping and tailgating. The public will be welcome to attend, with a cost of $10 per adult for the entire show and children under 12 admitted free.
