The workshops will be presented by Sally Gardner Reed, executive
director of the national Association of Library Trustees, Advocates,
Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library
Association, based in Philadelphia.
Targeted toward staff, board members, Friends organizations and
foundation members, the workshop is designed to help your library
prosper in today's economic climate by providing innovative ideas
for increasing your funding base, effective volunteer support, sound
marketing and promotion for what you do, and advocacy for the importance
of your library in your community.
The workshops are offered at no cost to attendees and there
is no limit to the number of attendees from any one library. LEO will
provide a complimentary catered lunch. (We will also be inviting
attendees from area museums and cultural institutions; these
representatives will be charged $5 to help offset catering cost.)
Advance registration kindly requested. RSVP by Tues., May 10: leolibraries@gmail.com
